Sheriff's Office invites residents for coffee

The Georgetown County Sheriff's Office will host a "Coffee With A Cop" event at Bojangles in Georgetown on Thursday, Oct. 28. From 8:30-9:30 a.m., residents are invited to stop by for a free cup of coffee and an opportunity to speak with deputies and other representatives from the Sheriff's Office.

There's no agenda or speeches, says Sheriff Carter Weaver. The event is simply an opportunity for residents to engage their community's law enforcement in a conversation -- ask questions, voice concerns and get to know the deputies who serve their communities.
