Georgetown Outdoor Adventure Trails, also known as GOAT, received an exciting donation this month. The Adaptive Surf Project gave the program a pair of trail-rated Spartan Wheel Chariots.
A program of Georgetown County Parks and Recreation, GOAT aims to get as many people as possible outside enjoying all that our beautiful county has to offer through biking, hiking and paddling. These new Chariots will make our trails accessible to more people and make it easier for people with mobility issues to participate in our guided programs.
While the Adaptive Surf Program usually focuses on ways to make beaches more accessible, officials with the organization said they were excited to also be able to make hiking on wooded trails more accessible.
