  3. Brownfields Site Suggestion Form

    This form is for community members interested in suggesting a property be assessed as part of the Georgetown County Brownfields Assessment Grant. It is requested that this form be completed to provide the County with the information necessary to select sites for environmental assessment.   

    What is a Brownfield?  

    Brownfields are defined as “real property,” the expansion, redevelopment or reuse of which is complicated by the presence or potential presence of a hazardous substance, pollutant, or contaminant. Assessing, remediation, and reinvesting in brownfields properties protects the environment, public health, reduces blight, and provides pathway to redevelopment of the properties.

    Potential Brownfield Property Identification

    If you know of a brownfields property within the census tract boundaries shown below, please provide an address or property description below.

  4. Census Tract Map
    A map of the census tracts eligible for the Brownfields Assessment Grant.
  5. If possible, please provide the physical street address of the property including city/state/ZIP.  Example: 129 Screven Street Georgetown, SC 29440. 

    Providing a PO Box as the property address may result in your submission being discarded.
